WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
A trained workforce with both theoretical and practical knowledge is necessary to provide service with the level of quality needed to attract travelers and properly develop a destination. LTC will work with destinations to transfer this critical knowledge and build a team of trainers versed in the intricacies of destination management, tourism operations, guiding and marketing.

Destination Management Organization (DMO)
DMO staff often come from careers in the tourism industry as well as a variety of professional backgrounds, bringing a wide range of perspectives and experiences to help the organization and destination flourish. It is important to harness these valuable assets and provide ongoing training for staff members so they understand what a DMO does, how it assists tourism destinations, the importance of capacity building and stakeholder engagement, and more. Regular workshops and professional courses ought to be budgeted for the destination to remain on the cutting edge.

MSME Management AND Operations
LTC’s Accelerator Programme teaches tourism entrepreneurs the day-to-day tasks of banking and managing money, staff and managing the customer experience. Whether establishing operations and management procedures for a new tourism enterprise or helping an existing one that is struggling, our workshops will focus on the “nuts & bolts” of running a small business.

GUIDE TRAINING
Local nature guides act as cultural and conservation ambassadors to outside visitors, and are the foundation upon which most educational and engaging tourism experiences are built. Local residents often possess a deep understanding of the land and culture that surrounds them, and empowering those residents to interpret and share that knowledge as guides is not only an effective way to create jobs, it also makes for a unique and authentic visitor experience. LTC will engage experts in each field to ensure accuracy and authenticity

Tourism Services Training
In addition to management and guides…the tourism enterprises usually require additional training and technical assistance in whatever tourism products and services they may offer. Be it script writing, refreshing the product, ensuring they meet the quality assurance standard, that they adhere to health protocols, that they protect themselves and their customers with liability insurance coverage. LTC will ring-fence this with a comprehensive training programme.
Crafts production planning begins with a thorough assessment of ever-changing market trends and demand, creates an initial line of products that blend traditional designs with modern-day demand and applications, and develops financial projections that consider production and sales costs. Crafts production training focuses on establishing and maintaining quality standards. Crafts marketing and sales consider product presentation (whether in stores or via sales catalogs and websites), in-country sales networks as well as distribution through international sales partners.

Community-Based Tourism
Community based tourism (CBT) is the oldest and most sustainable way of conducting tourism with visitors being invited into local and non-touristic areas of a community and interacting with residents in these areas, experiencing their culture, food and participating in their way of life.

INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION
Creating an umbrella organization for all tourism-related enterprises to join and benefit from economies of scale relative to group coverage, business service discounts, training, networking opportunities, maintain integrity of authentic experiences etc. LTC will advise on board structure and governance.
The Association is envisioned to become a strong lobbying group with a robust membership that can command a seat at the table and help to inform Government policy in the sector.
