MARKET RESEARCH
Before a destination can plan, it must understand its assets, who is visiting and potential areas for growth. We undertake comprehensive qualitative and quantitative research with our specialist partners to support strategy and policy development.
Studies include consumer research, niche profile audits, market evaluation, competitor analysis, environmental audits and impact studies, economic modelling and feasibility studies, destination inbound/outbound perspectives as well as domestic and international tourist movements.
We also work with academic institutions to carry out research provide training and undertake market assessments.

IN-PERSON EXIT SURVEYS
Understanding travellers and residents in a destination, who they are, what they do, what they think, how much they spend, how they behave, and so much more, can only be achieved by intercepting them at appropriate places – in the airport, at the cruise port and other high trafficked areas and asking questions.

Health Travel Visa - Online Surveys
The COVID-19 pandemic turned the world topsy turvy. The World Tourism & Travel Council (WTTC) worked tirelessly to develop a universal QR code Health Passport that would enable the tourism industry to rebound and people to be able to travel between nations.

IMMIGRATION CARDS
Governments provide Immigration Cards for the traveller that capture information at entry points and again upon departure. This data is important to Tourism professionals as well as stakeholders and provides a database for follow up contact with the visitor – remember the relationship begins and does not end with the sale. When used effectively, digital marketing campaigns can have an exponential impact on the repeat visitor factor.

FOCUS GROUPS
Qualitative research is used to gain a better understanding of underlying reasons, opinions and motivations of consumers or businesses, and typically provides insight into a problem or helps develop ideas that can be explored further with quantitative research. Focus groups are most commonly used for this type of research.

Townhalls & Stake holder Consultations
For many research problems, talking to businesses and stakeholders is the best solution. In collaboration with the destination’s technicians, LTC will devise and apply the relevant database that facilitates stakeholder engagement which we then use for interview and email consultations and questionnaires.
